Ms Tasneem Khedarun is a Fellow of the Advance Academy UK (former Higher Education Academy UK) and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, holding an LLB (Hons) from the University of London, an LLM (International Commercial Law) from Northumbria University at Newcastle as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Learning from Middlesex University. She has acquired considerable professional experience as an Associate in a well-reputed law firm in Mauritius, as defined under the Law Practitioner’s Act 1984. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Law at Rushmore Business School, having started as a lecturer in law since 2010, at various local institutions including Aberystwyth University, Open University, Pantheon Assas, and CLBS. She currently teaches a range of Mauritian and UK Law modules on diploma, degree, and post-graduate courses. Tasneem previously contributed extensively to research during her tenure at the Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies (under the aegis of the Supreme Court of Mauritius), during which she was an active member of the editing team of the IJLS newsletter. Tasneem is the co-founder and President of PAPIM, a cancer-awareness NGO that aims at promoting a healthy lifestyle in society to prevent cancer.
