Krishnee Appadoo
Krishnee is a senior lecturer in the department of Law, at the Faculty of Law and Management, of the University of Mauritius. There she teaches Environmental Law, Information, Communication and Technology Law, the Mauritian Legal System, and Jurisprudence and the Theory of Law. Her research interests mainly centre around Environmental and Climate Change Law and Policy. Krishnee is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Western Australia, where her doctoral thesis comprises a critical analysis of the legal and financial enforceability of the loss and damage principle. She has published various journal articles, book chapters and conference papers on topics including ocean governance, sexual harassment at work, environmental and climate change law and policy, and tourism adaptation and mitigation. She is the co-founder and director of Mind Matters Mauritius, as well as the founder of Climate Justice Compact. Krishnee is a gender, youth, disability and climate activist.
