    Greg Duggan

    With an interdisciplinary background in small-scale fisheries, Greg has been involved in the sector for the past 12 years and has a passion for co-designing real-world solutions that address complex social-ecological fisheries challenges head on using ground-up approaches. He holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Cape Town with a specialisation in fisheries anthropology. Having led action research projects since 2010, he currently leads ABALOBI’s Strategic Projects and Support across its local and international sites. Greg was the lead for ABALOBI on the Market Evolution for Small-scale Fisheries in Africa (MESA) project that took place in Mauritius from November 2020 to April 2021.
